Thank you to the many leaders of Southeast Alaska’s Tribes and communities who led us in defending the old-growth forest of the Tongass. The Tongass National Forest is the ancestral homeland of the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples, and because of their collective action, along with many others who spoke up, the Biden administration has reinstated the Roadless Rule to the Tongass, protecting this land, these trees.
