Here’s a short video of this little guy. It was first Raku Fired to get the decorative lines. It was then Raku fired with a clear crackle. After it gets pulled out of the kiln, I blow compressed air on it to help develop the crackle. But then goes into a metal canned line with paper. Allowed to ignite and then covered with a lid to develop some great smoke. That smoke goes into all the fine cracks. ⭐️Help support my content creation. Raku! Here’s a crackle vase with my gold luster in a regular firing! This glaze likes to go to 1900°F. Once it reaches temperature, I let it drop to about 1500°F and then remove. I like using compressed air to get the crackle. After crackling it, I put it in a metal bin that has been lined with paper. Here is one of my multi fired vase. It was first Raku fired to get the gray metallic designs. It was then glazed with a clear Raku crackle and fired again. Once it reached temperature, I pulled it out of the Kiln and blew compressed air to develop the crackle. After that, I put it into a metal bin that was lined with paper. I added more paper to create a good strong fire. Once the fire developed, I put some more paper on top of it to suffocated the fire and covered it. Covering it, allows the Fi

Raku fired bowl with yellow Raku glaze. With the video I would like to show you all the process from greenware to Raku firing. So after the trimming and create the rough texture, the piece is bisque fired in the electric kiln. The pieces are fired for 8-9h up to 970 C degrees. Higher temperature is not good for Raku firing because is closing the pourers of the clay, so later It will not absorb the smoke. Some potters are going up to 1000 C degrees but I suggest to not go higher if you would like
