Don’t forget to clean and sanitize your birdfeeders every 2 to 3 weeks. The first thing you need to do is dump out any seed that has been sitting in the container for two weeks. Then we take the feeder apart wash it in warm soapy, water to remove any grime. Then we soak in a 10% bleach solution. That’s one part bleach to nine parts of water. I make a 9% bleach solution using 3 cups bleach to 2 gallons of water. Let the components soak in that solution for 15 minutes, then rinse them thoroughly.
