Moira Pottery Works was founded in 1922 near Burton-on-Trent, and operated until December 1991. The Hillstonia Range was produced from 1934 to 1972, designed primarily for horticultural use—bulb forcing, plant containers, and rustic garden ware. This small planter/bulb forcer weighing 254g and measuring 11 x 9 x 6cm, is a good example of its mid century output.
