With humble beginnings as a small shopper, the Wilson County News’ leadership has always ventured into new waters. It was the first business to have a fax machine and offer fax service in Floresville in 1988. The newspaper’s very first website was developed in 1999. Soon after, wilsoncountynews.com took shape and has continued to develop and provide a strong online presence for community news.
Wilson County limits aerial fireworks - Wilson County News
Effective Dec. 9, Wilson County has imposed a fireworks restriction for the upcoming holidays. The Wilson County commissioners approved banning specific fireworks due to ongoing dry conditions and fire danger. Under the restrictions, “A person may not sell, detonate, ignite, or in any way use fireworks classified as ‘skyrockets with sticks’ or ‘missiles with fins.’

After graduating from Floresville High School, Robert received multiple football scholarships.
