Welcome to the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), a vibrant and immersive space that invites all visitors to explore Qatar's rich heritage and culture. In celebration of National Sports Day 2025, the museum will remain open on Tuesday 11 February.

The National Museum of Qatar is a national museum in Doha, Qatar. The current building opened to the public on 28 March 2019, replacing the previous building which opened in 1975.

Explore the story of our nation and its people with a visit to the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ). Last entry is 45 minutes before closing time. Visitor Services staff will begin clearing the galleries 45 minutes before the museum closes to ensure that all visitors exit on time.

Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Jean Nouvel, the National Museum of Qatar draws inspiration from the country’s history and its geology. The museum itself recreates the naturally occurring mineral crystal formations known as the “desert rose”.
