NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte cannot stop heaping praise on President Donald Trump’s foreign policy. The two appeared at a press event on Tuesday for the NATO summit currently underway at the Hague in the Netherlands.

President Donald Trump laughed off jokingly being called "daddy" by NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte. Rutte made the remark in reference to Trump's intervention in the Israel-Iran conflict, where he angrily pulled both sides back from violating the ceasefire he had just brokered.

At the close of the NATO summit, Mark Rutte shared informal praise for Trump’s approach to Iran and defence spending, including a playful "daddy" remark on TV and private messages calling Trump’s bombing of Iran “decisive” and “extraordinary”.
