Billionaire Jeff Bezos is throwing his weight behind a computing company that’s coming for Nvidia’s (NVDA) dominance of the artificial intelligence chip market.

Canadian-founded, US-based AI hardware company Tenstorrent has secured more than $693 million USD in Series D funding from a slew of big-name investors including Samsung and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Tenstorrent is also a proponent of an alternative kind of logic processor based on an open standard called RISC-V, which poses a challenge to Arm Holdings Plc.
