Mexico Open champion, Jake Knapp, opened up about his experience winning this tournament a year ago and what it has done for his career.

Knapp finished one shot off the tour scoring record of 58, done by Jim Furyk in the final round of the 2016 Travelers Championship. Knapp became the 14th player to shoot a sub-60 round; it has been done 15 times, with Furyk the one who has carded such a round twice.

Jake Knapp had the day of a lifetime at the Cognizant Classic at PGA National on Thursday. Knapp, 30, fired off five-straight birdies to start his day and finished with a bogey-free 59, joining the select list of people who have broken 60 in a PGA Tour event.
