The gunmen behind a massacre in Kashmir in April that sparked a four-day war between India and Pakistan were killed in a raid on Monday, Delhi has said.

The government has faced criticism for being slow to catch the shooters who slaughtered 26 civilians and started clashes between India and Pakistan.

Indian forces have killed three Pakistanis involved in the April attack on Hindu tourists in the Jammu and Kashmir federal territory in which 26 men were shot dead, Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday.
