Per The Hollywood Reporter, Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin is being named the new drummer for the Foo Fighters after the band decided in May to “go in a different direction” and part ways with its drummer of two years, Josh Freese.

Meanwhile, Freese – who was booted from the Foo Fighters in May after two years with the band – is reportedly joining Nine Inch Nails as their new drummer. It is currently unclear if Rubin will serve as a full-time member of the Foo Fighters or just work as the “Everlong” group’s touring drummer.
