Florida football awaits its bowl matchup after finishing the regular-season schedule with a 7-5 record. After finishing the regular season with three consecutive wins including a dominant beat down against their in-state rival, the Florida State Seminoles, the Gators are hoping to land a good bowl game matchup.

The Florida Gators (7-5, 4-4 SEC) trounced out rival Florida State (2-10, 1-7 ACC), 31-11, to finish off the season. They clinched their first winning season since 2020 and have a chance to win eight games for the first time since that same year.

The Florida Gators (7-5) certainly present an attractive option for bowl hosts, considering that UF closed the regular season on a three-game win streak behind freshman quarterback DJ Lagway, who is 5-1 as a starter. Representatives of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl attended UF's 31-11 win over Florida State last Saturday night in Tallahassee.

With a 7-5 record, the Gators will head to its first bowl game since 2022, although it has yet to be announced where and who it will play. Predictions include the Gasparilla Bowl against either Duke, Memphis or USF, the Birmingham Bowl against Georgia Tech, the Liberty Bowl against TCU and the Gator Bowl against either Louisville or Syracuse.
