Norway's defence ministry said on Monday it will deploy F-35 fighter jets and NASAMS air defence systems to a logistics hub in Poland which coordinates military aid for Ukraine.

Norway will assume responsibility under NATO to safeguard the airspace of Poland's Rzeszów airport and will send 100 soldiers, air defence systems and F-35 fighter jets to do so, the Norwegian defence minister announced on Monday.

The Western air defense systems that Poland will receive will protect the airspace of NATO countries. Particularly, the logistics hub used to deliver aid to Ukraine, according to Polish Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
