The Big Ten and the SEC are set to push College Football Playoff Execs to alter the seeding of the upcoming postseason, aligning the seeds based directly on the selection committee’s rankings.

New Orleans – The Big Ten and Southeastern Conference commissioners said Wednesday they will push for something closer to “straight seeding” in the College Football Playoff next season to give less of a break to lesser-ranked conference champs and better reflect how teams are ranked by the playoff selection committee.

Commissioners of the Southeastern and Big Ten conferences hinted that they know how they're going to vote if the issue arises of changing the seeding format for future College Football Playoff tournaments.
