Houston is playing Correa at third base for the first time in his career to take over Paredes's spot. Days after the Astros traded with the Twins to bring Carlos Correa back to Houston in order to replace the injured Isaac Paredes at third base, the team offered a pretty big update on Paredes's injury status.

Correa will waive his no-trade clause and the Twins are sending the Astros $30 million of the $96 million guaranteed to Correa over the next three seasons. The Twins will get a prospect in return, left-handed pitcher Matt Mikulski.

Carlos Correa has returned to the Houston Astros. Correa was a beloved player during his first stint with the Astros, helping them win their first World Series.
