Colts head coach Shane Steichen has prioritized consistency all offseason long, and he may believe Jones provides more of it than Anthony Richardson

From the outside perspective, the battle between Richardson and Jones seems to be close. If that's the case, then again, Richardson is the obvious choice for QB1. Beyond the progress he's made, Richardson is by far the higher upside player, and the Colts have also invested a lot into him--both in terms of draft capital and time.
