The massive manhunt for inmates who broke out of a New Orleans jail on May 16 is ongoing. Here's what to know about the remaining escapees.
Eight inmates who escaped from a New Orleans jail have been arrested after more than a week on the run, authorities announced.
Authorities have increased the reward for the last two remaining escaped inmates, Derrick Groves and Antoine Massey, as the manhunt intensifies.
Louisiana State Police said Wednesday they have arrested two women, Cortnie Harris and Corvanntay Baptiste, for their roles in helping the inmates who broke free in the early morning of May 16. Harris and Baptiste join jail maintenance worker Sterling Williams, who was arrested Monday, as accused co-conspirators.
On May 27, Williams put in an official request with state Attorney General Liz Murrill to take up the probe of the "operational failures" that led to the jailbreak. The investigation is still being led by the state Attorney General, as it had been.
