Kansas basketball took a significant hit in ESPN’s Basketball Power Index (BPI) after their crushing loss to BYU on Tuesday night. This loss was Kansas’ most lopsided under head coach Bill Self, and the rankings reflect how damaging it was.

As Kansas struggled to adjust defensively, BYU punished the Jayhawks with open threes and in transition. By the intermission, BYU was shooting nearly 42% from three with 75% of its field goal attempts coming from deep.
