Tuesday's matchups in Big Ten play could provide some drama in the league race as the action heats up in February
After a chaotic week that saw No. 1 Arizona drop two games, here's a look at the new college basketball polls with a new No. 1.
Arizona's run as the No. 1 team in the Associated Press Top 25 poll is over after nine weeks. The Wildcats slipped to fourth in the rankings after an 82-78 defeat to Kansas last Monday and then a 78-75 overtime loss to Texas Tech on Saturday. The Red Raiders went from 16th to 13th on the strength of the upset.
Arizona forward Koa Peat sustained a lower body injury, causing him to miss the second half and overtime of the Wildcats' loss to Texas Tech on Saturday. Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd did not provide an update regarding Peat's status. The freshman is averaging 13.8 points per game and 5.4 rebounds.
