AEW wrestler Anthony Bowens has extended a highly unusual invite to SNL star Bowen Yang after the comedian made a wrestling reference last weekend.
The first trailer for Bowen Yang and Lily Gladstone's remake of the 1993 queer comedy The Wedding Banquet is here and it doesn't disappoint. Based on Ang Lee's 1993 film, The Wedding Banquet stars Yang and Gladstone alongside Kelly Marie Tran and Han Gi-chan.

The trailer for Wicked and Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang's remake of The Wedding Banquet has been released. The original 1993 movie focuses on a bisexual Taiwanese man who has to marry a mainland Chinese woman to hide his gay relationship and make his traditional parents happy.
Writer/director Ahn co-wrote the 2025 take on “The Wedding Banquet” with original co-screenwriter James Schamus, who co-wrote the 1993 film with Lee.
Bowen Yang’s brand of comedy has produced some amazing moments, including the iconic Titanic iceberg sketch, but he admitted there have been times since going from a writer to a cast member in 2019 that some leaned too hard on just his Asian ethnicity and/or queerness.
