Usher revealed to Jennifer Hudson on the Tuesday, Feb. 4 episode of her eponymous talk show that he was supposed to star alongside her, Beyoncé and Anika Noni Rose in the 2006 movie musical, 'Dreamgirls.

Although Usher did not specify which role he was to play, Playbill claimed in May 2005 that he was expected to play C.C. White

Usher revealed he had to turn down a role in “Dreamgirls” due to scheduling conflicts, while explaining why he skipped the Grammys.

Usher truly surprised everyone when he revealed about almost appearing in Dreamgirls alongside Jennifer Hudson. The veteran singer talked about the reason why he ended up not starring in the iconic film.
