Detroit Tigers left-handed pitcher Tarik Skubal fired off 13 strikeouts in seven innings and allowed only one hit in a history-making start against the Minnesota Twins.

Skubal struck out 13 over seven shutout innings to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 3-0 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday night at Comerica Park. The Tigers (53-32) took two of three from the Twins (40-44) this weekend, punctuating the series with Skubal’s gem in front of a sellout crowd and a national television audience.

The Tigers toppled the division-rival Minnesota Twins on Sunday Night Baseball and the reigning Cy Young winner did not disappoint.
