A two-vehicle crash killed four people on the Taconic State Parkway Wednesday evening, closing parts of the roadway for hours, police say.

The crash occurred near mile marker 9.2 in the town of New Castle. Police said a van crossed the center median, where it rammed into a Honda sedan.
