Coco Gauff has earned her fifth consecutive trip to the French Open quarterfinals with a straight-set victory but still is catching flak because she forgot to bring her rackets to an earlier match.
Entering the French Open, 22-year-old Lois Boisson had never played a Grand Slam main-draw match. On Monday, the World No. 361 stunned No. 3 seed Jessica Pegula in three sets on Court Phillipe-Chatrier, becoming the first French woman to reach the Roland-Garros quarterfinal since 2017.
Coco Gauff has moved into the French Open's fourth round for the fifth consecutive year with a 6-1, 7-5 (3) victory over Marie Bouzkova.
