In a 6-3 decision, the court upheld House Bill 1181, a Texas law requiring pornographic websites to verify that users are over the age of 18.

Pornhub was among the plaintiffs challenging a Texas law that requires users of adult sites to submit personal information proving they are 18 or older.

The opinion written by Justice Clarence Thomas finds that requiring people to confirm they’re 18 or older to view sexually explicit content does not infringe First Amendment rights.
