Japan's Nihon Hidankyo on Tuesday accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Japanese survivors of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japanese cities to end World War II.

A Japanese man who lived through the American atomic bombing of Nagasaki has accepted this year's Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of an organization of survivors.

Terumi Tanaka, a survivor of the U.S. atomic bombings of Japan and the representative of an organization that won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop making nuclear threats.
