U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is reopening a migrant detention facility in Newark, New Jersey. The Delaney Hall Facility has the capacity to hold 1,000 migrants. It's the first migrant detention center to open under the Trump administration.

ICE says it’s opening its first new detention facility under the Trump Administration, expanding its capacity to house detainees and easily deport them through a deal with a privately owned jailhouse in Newark.

ICE officials said on Thursday that the reopening was “imminent” after “reaching an agreement with the facility’s owner.”
