The City has yet to issue a mandatory evacuation order but has urged residents to be ready as the Palisades Fire sweeping across the state is “uncontained” and being “fueled by winds from Santa Ana.” Those who need extra time due to having pets or livestock were told to evacuate now.

Wildfires are burning across Los Angeles, including in the Pacific Palisades, north of downtown in Pasadena, and in the San Fernando Valley.

Raging wildfires surrounding Los Angeles spread to the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday, after other fires in the area killed at least five people, destroyed hundreds of homes and stretched firefighting resources and water supplies to the limit.
