Boston fans certainly will love the scouting report Jordan Walsh gave of a Celtics rookie who is still a teenager.
Walsh led all scorers during Friday's matchup in Las Vegas. He shot a highly efficient 50 percent from the floor and from beyond the arc to help Boston get its first win of the Summer League. Celtics star Jayson Tatum is taking part in recruiting efforts with Lillard according to report from Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. Like Lillard, Tatum is expected to miss most or all of next season recovering from a torn Achilles injury. Tatum and Lillard have a relationship after playing on Team USA Basketball together this decade.
Now, Lillard’s next destination is anyone’s guess, but one name is standing out in the recruitment game, Jayson Tatum. According to The Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn, the Celtics star is actively trying to bring Lillard to Boston.
Instead of emulating stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Jordan Walsh believes he may have found a more effective way to help the team.
BOSTON — When the Celtics took Hugo Gonzalez at 28th overall in the 2025 draft, most fans hadn’t seen him play much. He was buried down the depth chart at Real Madrid, so the 19-year-old prospect had to earn all the playing time he could get.
