A vigil in Chicago Thursday night honored the four soldiers, including Sgt. Jose Duenez, Jr. of Joliet, who died in Lithuania during a training exercise.

Sgt. Jose Duenez Jr., 25, was married and the father of a 1-year-old son. Duenez was an M1 Abrams tank system maintainer and had served more than seven years in the Army. He and three others died when their armored vehicle sank in a bog.

The Army has released the identity of the fourth soldier who died in a training accident in Lithuania, a day after his body was recovered during a weeklong search that took hundreds of troops and other rescue workers from three nations.

The four soldiers disappeared during a training exercise last week when their armored vehicle became submerged in a peat bog.

The U.S. Army has identified Staff Sgt. Troy S. Knutson-Collins as the fourth soldier who died during a training exercise in Lithuania. The three other soldiers who died in the incident were Jose Duenez Jr.

The fourth and final soldier from Fort Stewart, Georgia who died in a training exercise in Lithuania has been identified. Officials identified SSgt. Troy S. Knutson-Collins, 28, of Battle Creek, Michigan as the last soldier who died.
