Fortnite developer Epic Games has pulled back the curtain on the Chapter 6 update, confirming the arrival of Godzilla. Chapter 6, which kicks off on December 1, sees Godzilla terrorize the new Japan-themed map.

Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 1 has seemingly started to leak online via promo artwork and images. And if the leaks are accurate, which they seem to be, then Godzilla, as well as Baymax from Big Hero 6,

As it turns out, this Japanese theme extends well beyond its map design, and into its Battle Pass contents. According to recently-released Chapter 6 Season 1 artwork, this season will feature a crossover with two characters who hail from Japan: Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Godzilla from the Toho’s Godzilla franchise.

As Fortnite’s current season draws to a close, Epic Games is teasing what’s next. In addition to a new season, Fortnite will be kicking off a brand-new chapter with its next major update. Chapter 6 Season 1 begins on December 1, 2024, and will include collaborations with Godzilla and Big Hero 6.

As for Godzilla, it's the 70th anniversary for the kaiju, and to celebrate, Super7 has a new Godzilla Minus One collectible toy figure. You can also stream Godzilla Minus One at home, either renting it on a service like Prime Video or watching as part of a Netflix membership.

Following the musical finale of Fortnite Remix, Epic has revealed the next chapter of the battle royale. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters begins on December 1, 2024, featuring everyone's favorite kaiju: Godzilla.
