President Trump declares Israel and Iran ceasefire agreement on Truth Social, stating the 12-day conflict will officially end after a phased 24-hour implementation.

"Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world's No. 1 state sponsor of terror," Trump said in a late-night announcement in the East Room on June 21,

Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic senator from Massachusetts, said U.S. strikes on Iran over the weekend were an "act of war" that President Donald Trump did not have the authority for under the Constitution.
