No significant improvement took place in the pollution levels in Delhi as city’s average air quality on Tuesday remained to be in the ‘very poor’ category, the daily Air Quality Index (AQI) bulletin released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said.

At 6 am, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded an AQI of Anand Vihar at 316, Ashok Vihar at 316, Bawana at 343, and Jahangirpuri at 330.

After getting relief for two days, Delhi's air quality deteriorated again to the ‘severe’ category on Saturday, 23 November, with AQI crossing 400. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the average air quality index (AQI) in the national capital till 7:00 am remained at 422 points.

The Central Pollution Control Board data shows of the 38 monitoring stations in Delhi, nine reported AQI readings in the “severe” range.
