A man was killed in an officer involved shooting just after midnight on New Year’s Day in Carson City. At around 10:34 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, deputies with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office were called to the 4000 block of Old Clear Creek Road for a domestic dispute.

Officers first responded to reports of gunshots just before 3 a.m. — when they got to the scene, they found the victim with several gunshot wounds to his torso.
