Assuming the Arizona Diamondbacks end up selling, general manager Mike Hazen says he will target pitching in potential trades.

The New York Yankees' starting pitching has suffered major losses to injuries, and an MLB Insider believes they will address that at the trade deadline.

That’s the argument from The Athletic’s Brendan Kuty, who floated Diamondbacks right-hander Merrill Kelly as an ideal trade target ahead of the deadline. “Trading for Merrill Kelly would be a tremendous win for general manager Brian Cashman and his front office,” Kuty wrote. “The Yankees need a pitcher who could start a playoff game for them.”
