Glen Taylor has agreed to transfer complete ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx to the group led by Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, multiple outlets reported Wednesday. Taylor agreed to part ways with the NBA and WNBA teams for $1.
The arbitration ruling stated that Rodriguez and Lore, who agreed to buy the team for $1.5 billion in 2021, did not violate terms of the purchase agreement, which Taylor alleged. The Timberwolves/Lynx have been valued at just above $3 billion by Forbes and Sportico.
A process that began with a $1.5 billion agreement in 2021, finally moves on and now requires only NBA owners’ approval.
