Lee shot 3-under 67 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 20-under, one stroke better than Scheffler’s and Gary Woodland’s scores of 19-under.

Houston — Min Woo Lee kept his calm amid tremendous charges by Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland, winning the Houston Open on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title with the best lag of his life that set up a final par for a one-shot victory.

What looked like a pleasant and reasonably easy Sunday afternoon for one of the PGA Tour’s brighter young stars had twists and turns, but Min Woo Lee was able to hold off the top-ranked player in the world to win the Houston Open. It is Lee’s first PGA Tour victory, finishing at 20-under-par, one shot ahead of Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland.
