Samsung Galaxy S24 owners could face a painfully long wait for One UI 7
If you buy a phone in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, you’re not just getting new hardware, you’re also getting Samsung’s latest software in the form of One UI 7, and while some older phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be getting updated eventually, the wait could be a long one.
The Galaxy S24 and S23 have been in line for One UI 7 well before the new S25 series hit shelves. A new update is being rolled out to Galaxy S24 and S23 users, but it isn’t as big as One UI 7.
Samsung is rolling out the February 2025 security patch for Galaxy S24. The firmware is still based on One UI 6.1.1 and Android 14. The 455MB patch focuses on patching the reported security flaws.
A prominent leaker has claimed that the stable version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series is still far away. Samsung will apparently issue a fourth One UI 7 beta for the phones in the meantime.
