WWE is loading up the card for the March 21st episode of WWE SmackDown. As announced on the March 14th episode, Roman Reigns will appear live on the show. This will mark her first appearance on WWE SmackDown in recent months;

This confused Reigns, who recently teamed with Punk a couple of months earlier at Survivor Series: WarGames in November 2024. Punk helped Reigns and the OG Bloodline (Jey and Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn) defeat the new Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa), who were joined by Bronson Reed as their fifth member.

Fans and insiders were perfectly aware that the return of Roman Reigns was now imminent. At the beginning of 2025, the former world champion had defeated Solo Sikoa in the first episode of Raw on Netflix and had been among the protagonists of the men's Royal Rumble match in early February.
