A bus fire on the NJ Turnpike is causing heavy delays for drivers on the eastern spur in Secaucus. NJ Transit says a bus on its 113 line had a tire blow out Thursday morning while traveling from Plainfield to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.
An NJ Transit bus fire on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike in Secaucus led to a multi-mile traffic backup Thursday morning, officials said. The bus burst into flames as a result of a tire blowout just before 6 a.m. on the northbound eastern spur about a half-mile south of Exit 15X, State Police and NJ Transit said.
