CLEVELAND, Ohio – The city of Cleveland has won a $4.9 million state grant to tackle one of the most pervasive sources of lead poisoning among children: old windows and doors tainted with lead paint.
Property managers who fail to comply with updated lead paint rules risk lawsuits, project shutdowns, insurance denial and fines up to $40,000 per violation.
