Just as parts of Kerrville began rebuilding from last year's flooding, another devastating flood has forced many families to start over once again.

A shelter-in-place warning is in effect in Kerrville due to floodwaters that have taken over area roads.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Emergency for Kerrville, Hunt and Ingram after heavy overnight rain triggered evacuations, rising Guadalupe River levels and life-threatening flooding across central Kerr County.

Authorities in Texas have rescued dozens of stranded drivers and people trapped in homes and at least two people have died due to catastrophic flooding.
