"It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend," read a statement honoring the pro wrestler, who died July 24 at age 71.
It was confirmed on July 24 that the celebrity star, who was born Terry Gene Bollea, had passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest in his home, just weeks after his wife Sky Daily denied rumours that he was in a coma, as rumours of his ill health first began to spread.
He also led Hogan Knows Best, a VH1 reality series following Hulk and his family for four seasons from 2005 to 2007. The show was canceled amid familial turmoil that included allegations of infidelity against Hulk and a serious car accident involving his son, Nick.
