Edwards made 14 of 23 shots from the floor and scored 23 points in the second half as Minnesota pulled away after leading by 11 at halftime.
The NBA head coaches have to pick two guards, three frontcourt players and two "wild card" players at any position for the reserves. The West All-Stars have five frontcourt reserves in Davis, Jackson Jr., Sengun, Wembanyama and Jalen Williams.
Timberwolves coach Chris Finch has been cranky all week, culminating in his first career ejection on Wednesday. But the Wolves have continued winning, suggesting a method to the madness.
