Arkansas cracking down on duplicate voter registrations with new initiative
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas is cracking down on duplicate voter registrations and fraud with a new initiative. The initiative, called one state, one vote, creates a partnership between Arkansas and surrounding states to compare voter rolls to check for duplicate registrations and give states the chance to investigate potential fraud.
The panel seemed sympathetic to Arkansas’ suppression of electronic signatures on voter registration applications, spending little time on a voter registration nonprofit's civil rights arguments.
