Following a telephonic conversation, US President Donald Trump has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would likely visit the White House next month

The White House said Trump and Modi discussed a range of regional issues, including security in the Indo-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.

Indian prime minister Narendra Modi is set to be one of the first foreign leaders to visit new American president Donald Trump. The two leaders had a phone call on Monday where they underscored their commitment to a “mutually beneficial and trusted partnership”,

President Trump has also invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House next week, marking the first foreign leader visit of his second term. This meeting comes as the US continues its diplomatic efforts to maintain a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas following a prolonged 15-month conflict in Gaza.

The two leaders also doubled down on their friendship, which began during Trump's first term in office. Trump attended a rally with Modi in Houston in 2019, and visited India in 2020.
