The incident happened at 8 a.m. on the tracks between Newark Airport and Newark Penn Station, when a New York bound train from Trenton struck the man, an NJ Transit spokesperson said.

Shortly after 10 a.m., NJ Transit rail service was facing 30-minute delays into and out of New York Penn Station, Chartier said. The accident is under investigation by the New Jersey Transit police.
