The new feature is called "Secret Conversations" and is a part of Facebook's messenger app. The texts are encrypted on the devices that they're sent from - and those they're received on.

While these new AI features may cause some users to consider whether to stop using WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, others might simply settle for disabling the feature.
