Elander’s contract calls for a base compensation of $500,000 and a supplemental compensation of $500,000, resulting in Elander’s pay sitting at $1 million a year.
Vitello spoke with local media in Knoxville, Tenn. about his decision to leave the Volunteers for the major leagues.
