The high number of Michiganders traveling to get to Thanksgiving dinner pushed gas prices up 7 cents a gallon on average to $3.08, but prices likely will come down again, experts predicted.

(CBS DETROIT) — AAA reported Monday that gas prices in Michigan have jumped 7 cents since after the Thanksgiving weekend. Michigan drivers are paying an average of $3.08 per gallon for regular unleaded, which is 11 cents less than this time last month and 4 cents cheaper than this time a year ago, according to AAA.

Michigan drivers are now paying $3.08 per gallon when fueling up at the gas station, which is a seven cent increase from a week ago. After fuel prices fell just in time for Thanksgiving travel, AAA reports they have rebounded,
